A medium-hard space battle.

The ship has some kind of shield, which almost automatically kicks it off of hard-tier to medium or soft. It makes the ship completely vulnerable to audience eyeballs and to lasers (a plot point in a parody mashup work). Maybe the shield is opaque at higher frequencies 🤷
The real answer, though, is I wanted to draw a shield.

The stuff in the background is debris; if you look carefully, you can see that the ship took a hit in the arse.
